Voicemail is an important tool to prevent you from missing any calls or messages. Knowing how to set up your mailbox greeting will assure callers that they have reached the correct mailbox. If you have an Iwatsu ADIX IX-24KTD-2 phone, follow these steps to learn how to record your mailbox name and greeting.

Your mailbox name will identify your mailbox throughout the system. To record your mailbox name, you must first access your mailbox. Then, press 3 to access the User Options Menu. Press 1 to record a new name, and then record your name when prompted. Press # to stop recording, and press 4 to save your recording. Next, enter the first few digits of your name when prompted (up to 6 digits), then enter the first few digits of your last name (up to 6 digits).

Your mailbox greeting will identify your mailbox to outside callers. When callers first reach your mailbox, they will hear your Active Greeting. To record your mailbox greeting, you must first access your mailbox. Then, press 3 to access the User Options Menu. Press 2 to access the Mailbox Management Menu. Select 2 to record a new greeting. Enter the greeting to record, the Active Greeting. Record your greeting when prompted. Press # to stop recording, then press 4 to save your recording.
