Hard of hearing or not, the appropriate volume on your phone will help to improve your calling experience. Follow these steps to adjust the volume of the handset, speakerphone, and ringtone on the Toshiba 5022 phone.

First, locate the volume buttons on your Toshiba phone. You should find them toward the bottom of your phone between the handset and the numeric keypad.

While you are on a call, you may adjust the handset volume by pressing the Volume Up button or the Volume Down button to increase or decrease the volume respectively. Please note that this is only a temporary adjustment – when you hang up, the volume returns to the default setting.

To adjust the speaker volume for internal and external calls as well as background music, start by pressing the Speaker (SPKR) button, located just above the volume keys. Next, press an extension button and you should hear a dial tone. Use the volume buttons to increase or decrease the volume level accordingly. Please note that this volume setting will be applied to all calls until it is changed.

To adjust the Ringtone, Handsfree Answerback, and Speaker Off-hook Call Announce, you must first make sure that the phone is idle and the handset is on-hook. Then you may use the volume buttons to increase or decrease the volume level. This will adjust the volume for all of these features simultaneously.

To adjust the handset beep tone, take the handset off-hook and dial the Beep Tone Adjustment Code #6101. You will hear a busy tone and then you may use the volume buttons to adjust the volume until you reach your desired volume level.
