There are a few options for Call Forwarding on the NEC DTP 16D-1 phone. First, Call Forwarding – All Calls allows your incoming calls to be immediately forwarded to another destination. Call Forwarding – Busy allows your incoming calls to be forwarded to another destination when the telephone is busy. Lastly, Call Forwarding – No Answer allows your incoming calls to be forwarded to another destination when there is no answer. Follow these steps to set Call Forwarding on your NEC phone.

Start by pressing SPEAKER and you should hear a dial tone. If you are setting this feature for another station, press SUBLINE APPEARANCE. Then do one of the following:

• To set Call Forwarding – All Calls, press FWD or dial the Call Forwarding access code.

• To set Call Forwarding – Busy, press FWD-BY or dial the Call Forwarding – Busy access code.

• To set Call Forwarding – No Answer, press FWD-NA or dial the Call Forwarding – No Answer access code.

You should then hear a special dial tone. Next, dial the destination station or the external phone number, and then you should hear the Service Set tone. The FWD LED will light at your station or at the Dterm of the subline station you are setting. You may then press SPEAKER to end your session.

To cancel Call Forwarding, press SPEAKER and you should hear a dial tone. If you are cancelling this feature for another station, press SUBLINE APPEARANCE.

• To cancel Call Forwarding – All Calls, press FWD or dial the Call Forwarding access code.

• To cancel Call Forwarding – Busy, press FWD-BY or dial the Call Forwarding – Busy access code.

• To cancel Call Forwarding – No Answer, press FWD-NA or dial the Call Forwarding – No Answer access code.

You should hear the Service Set tone and the LED will turn off at your station, or at the Dterm of the subline station. Then press SPEAKER to end your session.
