Using Follow Me On The Nortel T7208 Phone

Follow Me To is used to redirect your calls to another extension where you will be working. The calls are presented with your user name so that they can be distinguished from calls for the extension’s normal user. This allows you to share another person’s phone without logging them off their phone.
All calls are redirected and are still subject to all your user settings as if they were ringing at your phone.
- Follow Me To: Set the Follow Me destination from your own phone.
- Follow Me Here: Set the Follow Me from the phone that you want to share.
Default Short Codes
Short Codes are numbers that you can dial from any types of phone on the telephone system. The following are default short codes that may be available on your system.
- Follow Me Here – Dial *12*N#
Dialed at the extension to which you want your calls redirected.
Use your own extension number (N) when dialing the short code. - Follow Me Here Cancel – Dial *13*N#
Dialed at the extension to which you want your calls redirected.
Use your own extension number (N) when dialing the short code. - Follow Me To: Dial *14*N#
Dialed at your phone.
Dial the extension number (N) to which you want your calls redirected.
You can dial *14# to cancel Follow Me. - Cancel All Forwarding: Dial *00
Switch off any forwarding. Includes Forward Unconditional, Forward On Busy, Forward on No Answer, Follow Me, and Do Not Disturb.
And that is how you activate and cancel the Follow Me feature on your Nortel T7208 phone. Please see your System Administrator for further information.

Do Not Disturb Feature On The Polycom VVX 400-410 Phone

Enabling Do Not Disturb (DND) stops your phone from ringing and sends all incoming calls directly to voicemail. All calls you receive while DND is enabled are logged to your Recent Calls list.
When you enable Do Not Disturb, the following happens:
- The Do Not Disturb icon displays in the status bar.
- If your phone is idle, the Do Not Disturb icon displays next to your phone line in Lines view. If you have new messages or forwarding enabled, the messages or forwarding icon will display instead.
- The DND icon in Home view changes from white to red.
Note: Enabling Do Not Disturb on shared lines disables ringing only. You’ll still see a visual notification of the call and have the option to answer the call.
Why doesn’t the DND icon display?
- If you’ve set your presence status to Do Not Disturb, as well as enabled DND for your phone, the message “My Status: Do Not Disturb” will display instead of the date display, and the DND icon won’t display in the status bar.
To toggle Do Not Disturb on and off:
- From Home view, select DND. Or, if your phone is idle, press DND.
Using DND with Multiple Lines
By default, the Do Not Disturb feature applies to all lines on your phone. However, your phone may be set up so that you can enable the feature on a per-line basis.
To enable or disable Do Not Disturb for a particular line:
- From Home view, select DND.
- From the Line Select screen, use the up and down arrow keys to select the line to enable or disable Do Not Disturb on.
- From the Do Not Disturb screen, select Enable or Disable.
Automatically enabling or disabling Do Not Disturb for all lines:
- To automatically enable Do Not Disturb for all lines, press Set All.
- To automatically disable the feature for all lines, press Clear All.
And that is how you use the Do Not Disturb feature on the Polycom VVX 400-410 phones. If you have any further questions, please see your System Administrator.

Programming Keys on the Intertel Axxess 550.8520 Phone

Programming Your Feature Keys
Depending on how your system is programmed, some of your feature keys may be “user-programmable.” If so, you can program them with any feature codes or with extension numbers. The keys on the Mini-DSS can also be programmed as feature keys. In addition, you can combine the feature key and Station Speed-Dial functions to program a feature key to dial an outside number.
Note: You cannot program secondary extension keys as feature keys.
To program a user-programmable feature key:
- With the handset in the cradle, dial 397.
- Press the feature key you want to program.
- Dial the feature code or extension number you want to store under that key.
To return all feature keys to their original default values:
- With the handset in the cradle, dial 395.
To display the current feature key values:
- With the handset in the cradle, dial 396.
- Press the feature key(s) you want displayed.
- Press SPEAKER to hang up.
Programming Direct Station Selection Keys
A key programmed as a Direct Station Selection/Busy Lamp field (DSS/BLF) key provides a way to dial the associated extension with one touch. In addition, if the key is equipped with a lamp, you can visually monitor the status of the associated extension.
To assign an extension to a DSS/BLF key:
- With the handset in the cradle, dial 397.
- Press the DSS key(s) and dial the desired extension number.
Once programmed, you can use your DSS key as follows:
- You can place an intercom call to the extension that the DSS key is programmed for by pressing the key once.
- You can transfer a call to the extension that the DSS key is programmed for by pressing the key once and hanging up. (For transferred calls that are forwarded to voice mail you will hear repeating double tones and the display will show “DEST FORWARDED TO VOICE MAIL”).
- If the DSS key has a lamp, you can visually monitor the status of the extension.
Note: For the DSS keys to work as described above, you System Administrator must define them as user-programmable in Database Programming.
Programming Secondary Extension Keys
With the Secondary Extension Appearances feature, you can program various keys on your phone (and on the Mini-DSS) to indicate the call activity at a different extension (primary phone). In addition to being able to see when a call is ringing, answered, or on hold, you can use your secondary extension key to answer a call that is ringing at the primary phone. Your phone may also be programmed to automatically ring when a given number of calls are waiting at the primary phone (ask your System Administrator).
There are two possible types of secondary extension keys: programmable and non-programmable. If you have a non-programmable secondary extension key, only the System Administrator can change the associated extension. If you have a programmable key, you can change the extension.
Note: You can only assign the extension for a secondary extension key. You cannot create or change the secondary extension key (e.g., make it a feature key).
To display the current secondary extension key assignment(s):
- With the handset in the cradle, dial 396.
- Press the secondary extension key(s) you want displayed.
To assign a primary phone to a secondary extension key (if enabled):
- With the handset in the cradle, dial 397.
- Press the secondary extension key and dial the desired extension number.
Once programmed, you can use your secondary extension key as follows:
- You can press your flashing secondary extension key to answer a call that is ringing or holding on any CALL key at the primary phone.
- You can press your unlit secondary extension key to place an intercom call to the primary phone.
Note: If the secondary key is flashing (i.e., a call is ringing at the primary phone), you can press # before pressing the flashing key to place an intercom call to the primary phone without answering the call. Or, you can just dial the primary phone’s extension number.
To transfer a call back to the extension after you have answered it on your phone:
- To transfer to hold: Press the secondary extension key, announce the call (if desired), and then hang up.
- To transfer to ring: Press TRANSFER and then the secondary extension key. You can announce the call, if desired, before hanging up to complete the transfer.
And that is how you program feature keys, DSS keys, and secondary extension keys on your Intertel Axxess 550.8520 phone. If you have any questions, please see your System Administrator.
